How to Make Milk From Nuts

<< back

Nut Milk

1 part raw, roasted or blanched nuts

2 parts water

Honey or other sweetener is optional. As a guideline, some people use a teaspoon of honey per cup of water. I drink it unsweetened, but use whatever tastes good to you and that your rotation diet allows.

Chop the nuts in a blender until they are mealy or in very small pieces. Add the water and sweetener. Liquefy in blender until smooth. For a creamier texture use less water. Nut milk only stores one to two days in the refrigerator. Shake before using.

Only strain it if you plan on drinking the nut milk as a beverage or adding it to your tea. You can use cheese cloth or a fine mesh metal strainer.
